Meet Dr. Stephanie Hu

Dr. Stephanie Hu, DVM

My name is Dr. Stephanie Hu and have been working at Mount Joy Animal Clinic since 2018. I graduated in 2009 from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I practiced in the United Kingdom for almost 10 years before moving back home to Markham to be closer to my family. Prior to that I double majored in Education and Biology at Brock University and qualified as a teacher before I became a vet.

I did a lot of emergency work throughout my career alongside general practice but my favourite area of veterinary medicine is soft tissue surgery. I adopted my dog Zoe, a shi-poo from a client who became allergic to her. She is now a mainstay at the clinic and you very well have already seen her lurking around saying hello! I have a young son who is an avid hockey player which often keeps me busy in my spare time! I look forward to seeing you all and your beloved pets in the near future!
